1. Who We Are

PayXplain is an independently operated browser-based tool (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Files Processed Locally

The Service is designed to process the files and financial data that you choose to analyze locally in your web browser. We do not upload, receive, store, or retain the contents of those files, calculations derived from them, or reports generated from them on our application servers.

You are responsible for protecting and backing up your local files and exported reports.

3. Information We May Process

We may process limited personal information when you:

  • (a) make a purchase through PayPal;
  • (b) contact us for support, refunds, or other inquiries;
  • (c) use our website, where hosting and security providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, request timestamps, and security logs.

Depending on the transaction and our configuration, transaction-related information may include purchase date, product purchased, amount, currency, payment status, transaction ID, and information reasonably necessary for support, fraud prevention, entitlement verification, refunds, accounting, and dispute handling.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card number or bank-account credentials.

4. Payments

5. Local Storage and Cookies

We may use browser local storage to save app preferences on your device. Clearing browser storage may reset those preferences.

We do not use our own cookies for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising pixels. PayPal and other third parties you choose to interact with may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

6. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to provide support, process refunds, verify purchases, prevent fraud, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and operate our business.

7. Retention

We retain support communications and transaction-related records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We cannot retrieve files processed only in your browser because we do not receive or store them.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about personal information we hold about you. Contact privacy@payxplain.com to make a request. We may verify your identity before responding.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last Updated” date when we do.
